Muhammad ibn al-Qasim al-Thaqafi was an influential Muslim leader who opened the city of Debil. He was born in Saudi Arabia and from a young age showed prowess in military affairs. At the age of seventeen he became the leader of the Muslim army and led them to victory in battles throughout the region. His most famous victory was over the city of Dibble, which he captured in 712 AD. This victory brought much glory to Muhammad bin al-Qasim al-Thaqafi and paved the way for further Islamic conquests in India and abroad. He is remembered to this day as a great Muslim leader and is credited with introducing Islamic culture to Sindh, India.
